Below Zero - Kyurem VMAX
Alola trainers! Welcome back to the PoTown Store Blog! The 2023 season is about to hit full stride, even though we already had some events happen in the US, Spain and Brasil, we are finally going to see the full extent of the impact of the new Lost Origin set at tournaments. We have already seen Pokemon Online decks shift completely towards using the new cards, as they really do bring a lot to deck building and the metagame.
One of those impactful cards is Kyurem VMAX! Much to my dismay, VMAX’s are still being released and Kyurem VMAX is very very powerful. Its Max Frost attack starts at 120 damage and deals 50 more for every Water Energy you choose to discard, without limit! So even though the card shares similar traits to Ice Rider Calyrex VMAX, Kyurem VMAX is an upgrade in every way.

Lost Zone Box is Legit!
What’s up, PoTown readers? Have you been testing Pokemon online decks from the new Lost Origin set? I’ve been testing with my friend's non stop for upcoming Regionals, and I think we have stumbled across a very powerful deck. Coming fresh off of a finalist finish at the 3000 player Japanese Champions League event in Yokohoma, Lost Zone box is making a huge splash in the metagame. Additionally, my Shuffle Squad teammate, Cal Connor, won a 400+ player Late Night with a similar list. The deck looks like a mutated version of the Radiant Charizard (Pokemon GO) / Inteleon (Sword and Shield) that recently won the Baltimore Regional Championships. This new version of the deck features the Lost Zone engine, which consists of Comfey (Lost Origin) and Colress’s Experiment (Lost Origin), and a handful of different attackers. Cramorant (Lost Origin) allows you to hit for an early 110 damage, Sableye (Lost Origin) allows you to spread 12 damage counters, and Radiant Charizard is your late-game sweeper. This deck is incredibly simple to understand yet can get extremely complex - let’s jump into the list and dissect that. If you need any cards to build this deck, consider picking up some codes right here at the PoTown store! Instant email delivery, 24/7, and a large selection of PTCGO codes. That being said, let’s get it!

Top 3 Best Lost Origin Decks
Welcome to Lost Origin - our newest Pokemon TCG set in Standard! I’ve been grinding the trades, ripping open packs, and playtesting this format with my friends extensively, and I’m so excited to share my favourite decks with you! Most new sets will introduce one or two new archetypes, a handful of techs for pre-existing Pokemon online decks, and some cards that will leave you scratching your head. Lost Origin takes that to a whole other level - there are multiple new archetypes, so many unique cards to add to decks, and a whole new Lost Zone engine that seemingly works with everything. In this article, I’ll be sure to share an amazing list of each of the new archetypes, explain their strategy, and provide as much insight as possible. Let’s jump into it!

Dracozolt VMAX
Alola trainers! Welcome back to the PoTown Store Blog! We are less than a month away from the Pokemon TCG World Championships, and I could not be more excited! I’ve been hard at work balancing between recording videos and playtesting for Worlds, trying to figure out the best deck for me to play at the tournament.
Whilst balancing this, I’ve been enjoying playing some whacky Pokemon TCG/Online decks such as the one I’m writing about today, Dracozolt VMAX! This is a long-forgotten VMAX, as most are outside Mew, Ice Rider Calyrex, Duraludon, Rapid Strike Urshifu and Flying Pikachu. I’m happy VMAX Pokemon are slowly becoming a thing of the past, and I hope that becomes even more true when we have the 2023 Standard format rotation.

Blasting the Meta with Blissey V!
Alola trainers! Welcome back to the PoTown Blog! Ever since the old Pokemon Gold and Silver, Blissey has been one of my favourite Pokemon, so I’m very happy it is actually quite competitive. It recently got second place at the Milwaukee Regional Championships, and since it is a relatively cheap deck to build, you can expect to see it all over the Pokemon TCG Online and Pokemon TCG Live ladder.

Dialga VSTAR: The Ultimate Time Lord
Hello everyone! This is Elena from Gaia Storm TCG and welcome to another article here at PoTown Store. I am very happy to be here once again because today we are going to be looking at a very unique deck that has recently become a contender in the metagame with the release of Astral Radiance: The fearless Dialga V STAR. As you probably know, Palkia and Dialga are the two iconic legendaries from the Diamond and Pearl generation and they just received very cool new forms in the videogame Pokémon Legends Arceus. While we can’t deny that Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR is, by far, the most popular deck in the format, Dialga also holds a lot of potential. Let’s check how this deck works and how it can beat your opponents in just 3 turns!

Top 5 Interesting Cards in Pokemon GO
Embark on a familiar adventure in Pokemon TCG’s latest set, Pokemon GO, which is based on the hit mobile game Pokemon GO! This set has been designed to blend the unique Pokemon found in Pokemon GO with TCG mechanics for the first time ever! There are fan-favourite legendary Pokemon, like Mewtwo VSTAR (Pokemon GO), that will find a home in powerful decks. While there are some obviously powerful cards in this set, like Radiant Blastoise (Pokemon GO), the goal of this article is to showcase some of the unique cards found in this set. Will they ever see the light of day? Honestly, I’m not sure, but Pokemon announced that the upcoming Lost Origins set will be delayed which means that Astral Radiance will be our latest main set and Pokemon GO will be the differentiating factor heading into Worlds. Furthermore, our usual rotation of cards that happens in August / September has been pushed to early 2023 to bring us closer to Japan’s set legality. This might open the realm of needing to play unique concepts to avoid running into Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR (Astral Radiance) mirror matchups at upcoming events. Let’s check out these unique cards.

Round Menace - Blissey V!
Hello everyone! This is Elena from Gaia Storm and it is a pleasure to be here once again writing for PoTown’s amazing blog. As you know, Astral Radiance - the latest Pokémon TCG set was released a couple of weeks ago and everyone was eager to see the impact that it would have on the metagame.
The first Regional where Astral Radiance was legal was Melbourne and we were all shocked to see that Palkia VSTAR, the most hyped card of the set, got 8/8 placements in the top! Had that been a coincidence or was Palkia going to dominate this format without opposition? Well, I guess we got our answer after the celebration of Milwaukee’s Regional: Palkia still did great and seemed to be the deck to beat but many other decks were able to make it to the top, including Arceus VSTAR, Dialga VSTAR, Blissey V and… wait, wait, did I just write Blissey?? Blissey, that “meme” card from Chilling Reign that everyone made fun of? Yes, indeed. And it did so well that it got very close to winning the entire tournament!
But… How did that happen? Has something changed in the metagame and now Blissey is just good or are there other reasons for this amazing run? Let’s find out together!
